The McLean County Highway Department is filling one or more full-time Equipment Operator II (EO II) positions in Washburn. Dependent on the applicant pool, underfilling of the position may be considered. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

The starting salary is $50,981.82 ($24.51 per hour) with opportunities for overtime; adjustment may be given for verifiable and comparable previous experience. A full benefit package is offered including employer paid, low deductible health insurance and employer paid participation in the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS) pension retirement.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in operation and routine maintenance of construction equipment. High school diploma is REQUIRED on first day of work.

The successful applicant will book incoming prisoners; process outgoing inmates; dispatch and maintain radio contact with field personnel; record radio transmissions and phone calls; and render emergency medical information to dispatched emergency personnel.

Starting salary is $42,117.50 annually with opportunities for additional pay.
