The McLean County Highway Department is seeking one or more reliable and skilled Equipment Operator IIs to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support county projects, including road maintenance, construction, snow removal, and other public works. If you have experience with heavy equipment operation and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply. This is an entry-level position with room for advancement in the department. The new team member must live within 60 minutes travel time of Washburn.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience, a high school diploma, and a Class A North Dakota Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsement. A full benefit package is offered including 100% paid health insurance (individual or family); a 16.26% contribution on employee’s behalf to North Dakota Public Employee’s Retirement System Public Safety defined benefit retirement program; and paid vacation and sick leave.

The McLean County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two or more dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Deputy Sheriffs. This critical role involves enforcing laws, maintaining peace, and ensuring the safety of our community. Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas and respond to emergency calls.

• Conduct investigations and enforce laws and ordinances.

• Perform traffic stops and issue citations.

• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations.

• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records.

• Engage with community members to promote safety and address concerns.
